At the University of Michigan, Winter Commencement is a festive, campus-wide event where undergraduates, masters degree recipients, and PhD candidates are recognized. It is also where honorary degrees are conferred.
All graduates who would like to attend the ceremony must redeem a graduate ticket. Tickets will be available to redeem from December 3 – December 6. Students will be notified via email when tickets go live. For questions regarding graduation eligibility, check the commencement eligibility page.
All graduates and guests entering the arena along with their belongings are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to travel lightly to expedite their entry into the facility.
Be sure to check the permitted and prohibited items lists before arriving at Crisler Center. No purses, bags, wristlets, or cases of any size will be allowed in Crisler Center. Exceptions will be granted for medical and diaper bags only.
