Celebrating the class of 2024!
Event begins at 10:00 a.m.
Earning a graduate degree is a major achievement – one of life’s landmark occasions, a time when graduates, family members, and friends gather to celebrate past and future.
To mark this academic milestone, those receiving master’s or doctoral degrees through the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduates Studies are invited to attend Rackham’s graduation ceremony, Rackham Graduate Exercises (RGE). This formal ceremony celebrates and recognizes all graduate degree recipients.
It is our goal to make this a truly memorable day for you – and those who supported you along the way. If you have any questions or concerns that are not answered on this site, please contact the Office of University and Development Events at rackhamgraduateexercises@umich.edu or (734) 647-7900.
Diplomas
Diplomas will NOT be distributed at the ceremony and will be shipped to your permanent address unless you specified a specific diploma address when applying for graduation.
Doctoral diplomas will be shipped shortly after May 11 and Master’s diplomas will be shipped in mid June.
To check what address you have on file, go to Wolverine Access, click Student Business, then Student Center. If you need to make a change to the information on file, you can do so on the Registrar Office’s Personal Information Updates page. All changes must be submitted by Thursday, March 30 for doctoral students and by Tuesday, April 18 for master students. After those deadlines, you will need to email the Diploma Department, ro.diploma.staff@umich.edu, with any special requests to mail your diploma elsewhere.
RSVP
Rackham Graduates must register to participate in Rackham Graduate Exercises by April 23, 2023. Eligible grads receive an email invitation with instructions and a link to register. For questions on eligibility please contact rackhamgraduation@umich.edu.
