Alumni Association

All new graduates are eligible to receive a free year of membership in the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. Members have access to all the member benefits, including career services, networking, Michigan Alumnus magazine, e-TrueBlue newsletter, membership in local alumni clubs and access to football tickets. After the free year of membership, recent graduates can renew their membership for a discounted rate of $25. Graduates can join and find more details at www.umalumni.com.

Merchandise

Frame and preserve your diploma with a campus photo of your choice by Michigan Photography. These museum quality frames come in a variety of finishes and include UV conservation glass and acid-free mats. Also available is a brass replica of your diploma presented on a plaque. Commencement DVD

A special commemorative Spring Commencement DVD will be available showcasing the 2013 graduation event in its entirety and will also feature many special campus highlights. Click here to order the DVD, beginning mid May.

Photography

Grad Images photographs all of the graduates at the beginning of the graduate procession on May 4. Graduates are sent a thumbnail photo and may order copies of their photographs by mail, phone, fax or online.

Graduates fill out a description, address card distributed at the graduate assembly area on commencement morning. It is imperative for graduates to completely fill out the card as this is the method for delivery of the photo image.

The completed card is handed to photography staff just before the graduate's photograph is taken. To ensure that graduates receive the correct proof, each will say their name into an audio recorder.

Graduates will receive their complimentary proof(s) within 1 week of the ceremony. Please contact us by calling 800-261-2576 if you’ve waited more than 2 weeks for your proofs.

Michigan Photography is also available right here on campus to take beautiful, affordable graduation portraits. Have your photo taken in your cap and gown, or in attire of your choice. Yearbook

The Michiganensian yearbook has been published annually at the University of Michigan for over a century. Senior portraits, taken by Herff Jones Studios will be automatically featured in the 2012-13 Michiganensian.

Senior portraits will be taken in the Sophia B. Jones Room in the Michigan Union during the months of September, October, November, and December. Seniors may schedule an appointment time by visiting www.ouryear.com and enter U-M’s school code: 87156.
